Yash Raj Films has officially revealed the title of its upcoming romantic action-drama starring Ahaan Panday and Sharvari. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, will be called Beparwah and is set to release worldwide on March 26, 2027, coinciding with the Good Friday holiday.
A Highly Anticipated Debut Pairing
The title announcement came exactly five months before the film’s planned theatrical opening. Aditya Chopra produces the project. Beparwah marks the first time Panday and Sharvari have appeared together on screen.

Before Monday’s announcement, the film had circulated simply as Zafar’s untitled next project. Yash Raj Films first confirmed the March 2027 release date back in July, while the production was still shooting in the United Kingdom, where much of the film was made.
Zafar and Chopra Reunite for a Fifth Time
The film reunites director Zafar with producer Chopra for the fifth time. Their previous collaborations include the romantic comedy Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), the crime drama Gunday (2014), the wrestling drama Sultan (2016) and the spy thriller Tiger Zinda Hai (2017). The latter two, both starring Salman Khan, were major blockbusters for the studio. Zafar also co-wrote the Beparwah script alongside Chopra.
Since Tiger Zinda Hai, Zafar has remained active in Indian cinema. He directed Khan again in Bharat (2019), created the Prime Video political series Tandav (2021) and helmed the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff action film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024.
Panday and Sharvari’s Rising Careers
Panday made his screen debut in Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara, a YRF musical romance opposite fellow newcomer Aneet Padda. The film became one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2025, grossing more than $65 million worldwide. It also became the highest-grossing Indian love story on record. Panday is the nephew of actor Chunky Panday and a cousin of actor Ananya Panday.
Sharvari, meanwhile, launched her career with YRF’s Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021. She broke through in 2024 with the horror-comedy Munjya, which crossed $14 million at the box office. Most recently, she starred opposite Alia Bhatt in Alpha, the first female-led entry in YRF’s spy universe franchise.
Supporting Cast and Studio Background
The Beparwah cast also includes Bobby Deol, who previously appeared alongside Sharvari in Alpha. In addition, Aaishvary Thackeray joins the film as the antagonist. Thackeray is the grandson of Bal Thackeray, the founder of the Shiv Sena political party.
Yash Raj Films has a long and prominent history in Indian cinema. The late Yash Chopra founded the studio in 1970, and his son Aditya now runs it. YRF’s spy universe, which includes Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai, also encompasses the films War and Pathaan, making it one of the most successful franchises in Indian film history.
