ARTnews and luxury watchmaker Hublot hosted an intimate dinner at the New York headquarters of artist and fashion designer Colm Dillane, widely known as KidSuper. The event brought together a diverse group of collectors, curators, gallerists and creatives for an evening centered on art, fashion and conversation.
A Creative Space at the Center of the Evening
Dillane’s 10,000-square-foot headquarters served as the backdrop for the gathering. The sprawling space includes an art studio, a podcast studio, a retail store, a Hublot-sponsored rooftop soccer pitch and various other areas dedicated to creative work. Dillane personally led guests on a tour of the building. “This is my greatest work, and I think it encapsulates my whole practice,” he told attendees.

Chef PJ Monte of Monte’s Fine Foods, also known as the Sauce Boss, provided dinner for the evening.
Notable Guests and Conversation
The guest list included collector and Brooklyn Museum trustee Carla Shen, Hublot Americas president Frank Suznjevic, and ARTnews and Art in America editor-in-chief Sarah Douglas. Also in attendance were Time to Drive festival founder Perri Dash, fashion designer Mobolaji Dawodu, collector Viljon Caka and Gazelli Art House senior director Haley Shaw. Filmmaker Saam Farahmand, collector and commentator Jeff Magid, gallerist Adam Cohen, artist Jonathan Gardenhire, curator Anwarii Musa and real estate developer Ben Levine rounded out the group.
During a conversation with Douglas, Dillane reflected on his early experiences with the art world. He described finding it difficult to access at first. He compared that experience to his early days in fashion. “I was really an outsider there as well,” he said. “I got rejected three times from the official calendar at Paris Fashion Week. They finally said yes. Once I broke into fashion, I realized that behind this wall there’s really interesting people who care about new ideas.”
A Vision Rooted in New York Energy
Dillane also spoke about the many creative disciplines he has explored throughout his career. He described them as expressions of a single underlying spirit. “For me, all of these different mediums were pushing towards the same spirit,” he said. “There’s a mischievousness to it. There’s bringing people together.”
He added that New York itself remains a central source of inspiration. “I want to capture the feeling that I feel when I’m in New York, where anything feels possible,” Dillane said. The KidSuper headquarters, he suggested, is his most complete attempt to bring that feeling to life in a physical space.
