The search for Amanda Grazewski ended in heartbreak after five long years. This week, officials confirmed that human remains found near a Derry, New Hampshire golf course belonged to the missing young mother.
Disappearance That Shook a Town
Amanda Grazewski vanished on March 17, 2020, when she was 23. She was last seen at a friend’s home, leaving behind her purse, phone, and other essentials. She had no car at the time and was reportedly struggling with substance use. Before her disappearance, she had spent time in several New Hampshire towns, including Nashua, Salem, Manchester, and Hooksett.
Her sudden absence left her family and young daughter in painful uncertainty. Despite numerous searches, no evidence surfaced for years.
Family Turns to Drone Technology
By 2024, desperation drove Grazewski’s family to contact 2A TAC Air OPS Drone Services. Owner Robert Russell began searching a wooded area near a Derry golf course. Early drone flights revealed little, but Russell soon teamed up with Jenness Keller of Skydog Aerial Drones. Keller used advanced 3D mapping technology and her engineering expertise to scan the area for nearly a year. Eventually, she identified a suspicious marshy location and shared her findings with Derry police.
Discovery Brings Sad Closure
Just one day after receiving Keller’s maps, investigators located human remains. Forensic testing confirmed the remains belonged to Grazewski. The New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is still determining her cause and manner of death. New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella expressed condolences to the family and gratitude to law enforcement, forensic teams, and community members who provided tips.
Mother’s Heartfelt Message
On Facebook, Grazewski’s mother shared relief that her daughter was no longer suffering. She wrote that Amanda was “never forgotten” and would “forever” belong to her family. Authorities have not confirmed if foul play was involved. They urge anyone with information to contact the Derry Police Department. With Amanda Grazewski’s remains finally found, her loved ones hope the truth about her disappearance will soon emerge.
