Three Children Taken During Family Visit
According to police, the children were taken on Friday at approximately 11:30 a.m. during a semi-supervised visit with a family member. The visit took place at a home near Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto.
The three children are four-month-old Anastasia, three-year-old Irina, and six-year-old Daniel. Their mother, Somerda Miclescu, 22, does not have legal custody of them. Police have named her as a suspect and want her to face allegations of parental abduction.
As of the latest update, Miclescu’s location remains unknown. Police describe her as 5’7″ and approximately 180 pounds, with long dark black hair. She was last seen wearing a long black skirt and a dark-coloured top.
Descriptions of Both Suspects Released
Investigators have also released a physical description of Stroe. He stands 5’11” and weighs approximately 235 pounds. He has a tattoo on his right forearm.
In addition to the parental abduction allegations against Miclescu, Stroe faces separate outstanding charges. Police are urging anyone with information about either individual to come forward immediately.
The case has drawn significant public attention given the young ages of the children involved. Authorities continue to appeal to the public for any tips that could help locate the children and the two individuals connected to this incident.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Somerda Miclescu, Ionut Stroe, or the three children is asked to contact Toronto Police directly.
