1. Talks or Regional Power Games?
What is now happening in Rome, Oman, or any other capital under the label of “Iran-U.S. nuclear negotiations” is no longer an honest dialogue to reduce tensions. It’s part of a regional chess match where the real players aren’t diplomats — they are Ayatollah Khamenei and Benjamin Netanyahu.
In this game, the Iranian people are nothing more than discarded pawns — hostages to sanctions and repression.
2. Khamenei: Not a Solution, But Part of the Problem
Contrary to analyses that portray Khamenei as the “behind-the-scenes decision-maker,” the reality is more bitter:
He is not only the key decision-maker but the deliberate architect of the nuclear deadlock and public suffering.
He has exploited the nuclear program not for scientific progress, but for leverage, blackmail, and regime survival.
For over two decades, this costly project has been imposed on the nation with billions wasted — bringing no tangible benefit except poverty, isolation, and inflation.
In Khamenei’s eyes, the people are merely “resilient,” not rightful stakeholders.
3. Netanyahu: Trigger in Hand, a Professional Peace-Saboteur
On the other side, Netanyahu and his far-right Israeli government view any deal with Iran as a direct threat to their security strategy.
For years — under Obama, Biden, and beyond — he has lobbied intensely against diplomacy with Tehran.
Israel has repeatedly and openly threatened unilateral military action against Iran’s nuclear sites and has reportedly been involved in covert sabotage operations.
By amplifying the Iranian threat, Netanyahu strengthens alliances with Gulf Arab states and fortifies his own domestic political standing.
Thus, both Khamenei and Netanyahu weaponize mutual hostility to cement their internal power.
4. The Iranian People: Crushed Beneath the Wheels of Power
Lost in this equation are the rights, dignity, and daily survival of the Iranian people:
Sanctions have driven many into desperation, yet the nuclear program continues — because Khamenei doesn’t care how many fall into poverty.
Access to medicine, food security, employment, and education have all become collateral damage in this “mythical resistance.”
Real diplomacy is impossible without both internal reform and addressing the West and Israel’s security concerns.

Ayatollah Khamenei is neither a savior of diplomacy nor a master negotiator. He is the leader of a political, economic, and moral deadlock — a man holding his own country hostage with help from regional adversaries like Netanyahu.
In this brutal game, the Iranian people remain the eternal losers — until the cycle of internal repression and regional aggression is broken.
