What do we know about the PTE Core Test?
The Pearson Test of English, PTE Core is a general English test for immigration and citizenship applications that is approved and accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for economic immigration programs including:

Express Entry Programs

Permanent Residence (PR); and

Citizenship.
The PTE Core test consists of three main sections:

Speaking and Writing (approximately 50 minutes);

Reading (approximately 30 minutes); and

Listening (approximately 30 minutes

The PTE Core Test has been available in Canada since the beginning of 2024, and there are currently more than 25 testing centres in cities across Canada, including Toronto, Hamilton, London, Halifax, Montreal, Vancouver, Surrey, and Ottawa,
The test is scored on a scale of 0-90, with a maximum score of 90. For example, Canadian Language Benchmark Level (CLB) 9 corresponds to a PTE score range of
