Toronto police are investigating a suspected arson after three vehicles were deliberately set on fire in the same neighbourhood during the early morning hours of Thursday.

Emergency services received calls at approximately 1:30 a.m. directing them to the area of Bellamy Road North and Lawrence Avenue East. Both police officers and firefighters responded to the scene, where they discovered three vehicles fully engulfed in flames.

Toronto Fire Service crews worked to bring the blaze under control before handing the scene over to police for further investigation. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

Authorities are treating the fires as deliberate. “This is being treated as a suspected arson,” a Toronto police spokesperson confirmed in a statement to Global News.
