Rod Stewart has called off the rest of his tour dates and his Las Vegas residency after undergoing heart surgery. The 81-year-old rock legend’s representatives confirmed that he had a routine coronary stent procedure and is recovering well, already back to his daily activities. On doctors’ orders, he will rest for four weeks before returning to the stage.
Stewart himself told fans he is “feeling better and very much on the mend,” thanking his medical team and expressing disappointment at missing the shows. The cancellations follow a last-minute postponement of his Cincinnati concert on Sunday due to what was then described as a minor medical procedure. A day later, his Cleveland show was also scrapped after doctors advised at least 48 hours of rest.
The singer had been on his One Last Time tour, with upcoming dates in Iowa and Kansas City, before a planned return to his Colosseum residency in Las Vegas. A September show at the Minnesota State Fair was also on the schedule. All remaining performances are now off.
This is not the first disruption to Stewart’s recent touring. Just last week, he canceled a Niagara Falls, Ontario, show because of a landing gear issue on his aircraft, with the concert rescheduled for March 2027.
