Three individuals were rushed to the hospital following a serious single-vehicle crash in Muskoka Lakes Township on Wednesday morning. Authorities report that the accident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on Muskoka Road 118, near Pine Glen Road.
Details of the Crash
According to police, the vehicle veered off the road for reasons still under investigation. After leaving the roadway, the vehicle rolled over, causing significant damage and ejecting the driver. Two passengers were also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene. Due to the severity of the incident, an air ambulance (Ornge) was dispatched to transport a woman in her 30s to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Officials state that she sustained critical injuries and remains in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the two other occupants of the vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Their identities and current conditions have not yet been released.

Road Closure & Investigation
As a result of the crash, Muskoka Road 118 was temporarily closed while investigators examined the scene. Police are working to determine the cause of the accident, including whether factors such as speed, road conditions, or driver impairment played a role.
