As of this writing, there were 371 reports, which started to rise at 5 a.m. IST (6:30 p.m. Eastern Time). 68% of the users reported issues with ChatGPT, 17% with the app and 16% with the website of OpenAI.
Multiple users on social media posted about ChatGPT being down.
“chatgpt is down F. for a whole few hours, university students will have to write their own stuff,” another said.

What Issues Are Users Facing?
One user of ChatGPT Plus, the premium and most advanced publicly available chatbot of OpenAI, said that they were not able to log into their account. “The OAuth flow appears to have worked, but the /authorize/resume endpoint returns an ‘access_denied’ error…,” the user wrote.
Another user said that there was a “delayed connect error: 111.” A “delayed connect error” typically occurs when there is a delay or failure in establishing a connection between two systems or services.
“The first time this error appears for me on ChatGPT. What kind of demo are you waiting for?” wrote the user.
Earlier in the day, Meta’s services – such as Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp were down for thousands of users.
