TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Authorities are responding to an active shooter situation reported Thursday on the campus of Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee. The incident prompted an immediate emergency alert to students, faculty, and staff urging them to shelter in place.
According to FSU’s emergency alert system, the situation remains fluid as law enforcement officers are either on-site or en route to the campus. The alert advised the campus community to “lock and stay away from all doors and windows and be prepared to take additional protective measures.”
